MLAs attend Assembly wearing ‘Black’, slams Bihali Incident

GUWAHATI: MLAs from Congress and AIUDF were seen attending Assam Assembly wearing ‘Black' clothes in protest against the Bihali incident.

In an incident that took place in  Bihali, Biswanath, a toddler was made to remove his black jacket before attending CM Sonowal's event. This was captured in a video which later went viral in news channels and social media. The act was strongly condemned by people all over the state.

However several MLAs including Rupjyoti Kurmi (Congress) was seen attending the assembly wearing black attire.

This comes at a time when the state government recently banned the entry of people wearing anything black at the Janata Bhawan in Dispur. As per reports, restriction was apparently meant to rule out any chance of a protest at the Janata Bhawan.
