GUWAHATI: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday, May 30 broke open a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Naihati area of North 24 Parganas district and painted her party's name - All India Trinamool Congress - and symbol on the office's saffron wall.

Banerjee has claimed that it was their office which was captured by supporters of the newly elected BJP MP Arjun Singh, who had won from Barrackpore after defeating the TMC candidate, Dinesh Trivedi.

On May 30, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking oath for his second term in office, Mamata Banerjee was protesting in Naihati. Allegedly, after addressing the gathering, Banerjee visited the BJP office and broke open its door to 'recapture' it.

The TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee used a painter's brush to paint in black the All India Trinamool Congress official party symbol (flowers and grass) over the saffron walls of the building.
