GUWAHATI: Golaghat Police rescued a kidnapped minor girl from the Numaligarh Rural Police Station area on Sunday, April 28, and arrested the accused involved in her abduction. The operation was conducted in response to a case registered at Okhla Industrial Area Police Station, New Delhi.

The case, numbered 0966/2023, was filed under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to kidnapping. Additionally, a Habeas Corpus petition (WP(Crl) No. 610/2024) had been filed in the Delhi High Court regarding the disappearance of the minor girl.

The girl was then taken into protective custody. Legal proceedings against the accused have been initiated.
