According to a report by The Hindu, the Bench which also comprised of Justices Rohinton Nariman and Deepak Gupta ordered Bains to be personally present in court on April 24 at 10:30 am.

Bains claimed that the man who met him said that he represented the former employee who has pressed accusations against Chief Justice Gogoi. The man then asked Bains to arrange a press conference at the Press Club of India to “frame” the CJI. But Bains refused and the man then became evasive when asked how he was related to the woman.

Bains has claimed that a larger “conspiracy” is playing out to compel the CJI to resign and that a judicial inquiry was required into the alleged plot to affect the independence of the judiciary.
