GUWAHATI: Assam along with the other northeastern states is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall with likely thunder and lightning over the next few days with an orange alert being issued over Assam and other Northeastern states, as per an official report from RWFC, Guwahati (Regional Weather Forecasting Centre) on August 22.
On August 22, thunder and lightning with heavy to very heavy rain are anticipated across most areas of the Northeast including Assam.
Continuing into August 23, Assam can anticipate heavy rain with thunder and lightning across most areas including other parts of the Northeast.
August 24 will see heavy rainfall in most areas along with thunder and lightning.
As the weather pattern progresses into August 25, heavy rainfall persists in certain parts of northeast India.
The rainfall trend persists on August 26, with most places in Assam and other states likely to receive heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning, the forecast report stated.
