"The whole world is looking at us to provide skilled manpower, and India is poised to deliver," said Prof. Ahuja, emphasising the global expectations placed on Indian institutes.

Prof. Ahuja highlighted a crucial benefit of this programme - reducing the reliance on private coaching by ensuring that students receive a strong educational foundation within the school system itself. "If teachers are good in school, why will the kids need to go to tuition classes? The ministry wants to start at the school level and gradually go up," he explained.

This new initiative is already in motion at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bhubaneswar, Prof. Ahuja told GPlus.
