Guwahati, Two Other Cities To Get Pet Care Hospitals By October 2025

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam government will establish three pet care hospitals which will become operational by October 2025 in Guwahati, Bokakhat, and Dibrugarh. These hospitals aim to enhance pet healthcare services and provide specialised treatment for companion animals.

Presenting the state budget for 2025-26, Finance Minister Ajanta Neog also said four multi-care veterinary hospitals are under construction in Kamrup, Golaghat, Lakhimpur, and Tinsukia, while a fifth hospital is now being initiated in Sivasagar.

The government has earmarked ₹24 crore for these initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to improving veterinary services and animal welfare across the state. The upcoming facilities will offer modern diagnostic, surgical, and emergency care services, ensuring better treatment for both pets and livestock
