The rescued children, aged between 14 and 15 years old, had reportedly been working at the factory for a prolonged period. The operation took place at around 2:30 AM on Monday during which authorities discovered that the children had been deliberately concealed behind the factory’s locked main gate.
After repeated attempts, officials managed to enter the premises and, following a thorough half-hour search, successfully located and freed the minors.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Chandmari police station said, “We rescued the children and they are currently under the custody of the child protection.”
Following the rescue further necessary legal proceedings have been initiated.
