GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police on Monday, April 11, arrested a person who has been accused of making communally insulting statements in a live Instagram chat.
The accused, Nadeem was arrested by the Guwahati Police from Rajasthan with assistance from the state’s police.
Guwahati Police shared this information on Twitter and said, “No one can escape the Law. Accused Nadeem, who made communally insulting statements in a live Instagram chat, is in our custody now, with @PoliceRajasthan assistance. He is being brought to Guwahati, to be prosecuted in All Women PS Case no. 25/2022.”
Guwahati Police assured of taking cognizance of the matter earlier this week after a Twitter user tagged them and highlighted the issue.

In the audio clip that is doing the rounds on social media platforms, a person identifying himself as Nadeem is heard making abusive, derogatory and vicious comments. He said Hindus should be identified, raped and killed, during a conversation with another person going by the name Sabnam, a supposed Instagram influencer.
The audio clip was shared on Twitter by one TiredBhiim. “Absolutely Sickening!! See the amount of hate these people have for Hindus. They are Sabnam & her friend Nadeem,” he tweeted.
