GUWAHATI: An elderly person has been taken into custody on the alleged charges of attempting to rape a minor in Fatasil Ambari, Guwahati on the night of June 23.

The arrest took place on Sunday night in the Fatasil Ambari area, following a complaint filed by the victim’s family. The identity of the accused has been disclosed to be one Dulal Rao aged 68.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Fatasil Ambari police station,” We took him in yesterday and further investigations are underway. As soon as we land evidences, further action can be undertaken.”
