Google India calls on CM to realize the goal of Digital Assam

A team of Google India led by Chetan Krishnaswamy, Country Head, Public Policy, Google, on Thursday met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to discuss various issues to boost the Govt’s goal of Digital Assam. The Google India team apprised the Chief Minister about several measures for enhancing use of digital medium in the operation of small business, skill development, promotion of cultural sites, supporting the eco-system and the ‘internet sarathi’ project successfully implemented in different parts of the country by the internet giant. Sonowal also informed the delegation that the Govt has made provisions in the budget to connect with the rural masses in each village through new technology.
