GUWAHATI: A fire broke out at Gauhati University campus which engulfed a quarter in the campus on 3 January.
According to preliminary reports, the fire broke out at one of the Professor's quarter, which gutted books, copies, and other essential things.
The fire was reportedly caused due to a short circuit, however, an official statement from the fire department is awaited.
The fire has been brought under control by the fire department.
