GUWAHATI: Delhi and Maharashtra have decided to lift the mask mandate, starting from April, given the steady decline in the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
This means all COVID-19 restrictions, which were in place for two years, have been withdrawn. These two states have decided to do away with the Rs 500 fine for not wearing face masks in public places, news reports say,

Meanwhile, in Assam, all COVID-19 curbs were withdrawn from February 15, 2022. However, masking in public and sanitising still have to be maintained in the State.
This comes after the State has been witnessing a drop in the Covid cases.
