Adding to the woes that eateries in Guwahati are currently facing, a resident of Guwahati has alleged that she saw rats scampering around at the KFC, Christian Basti premises.
Speaking to G Plus, Soma Chakraborty said. “On 10th August, at around 10.30 PM, my husband and I went to KFC, Christian Basti and saw a rat inside the restaurant premises.”
She then posted a photograph of the rat at the restaurant on her Facebook profile, which started getting public attention.
Adding to this, she said, “I was really shocked to see this. Now I am concerned about eating food outside. We avoid street food because hygiene is an important factor and so we prefer to go to a place with a brand name. But this is terrible and unacceptable. Appropriate authorities should take proper action against such places.”
In the meantime, Soma has also written an email to the KFC Head office who said that they would escalate the matter to the Customer Care Team.
