GUWAHATI: Students of Cotton University on November 30 took out a massive torchlight rally against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB) in Panbazar area of Guwahati.
The students were heard chanting slogans like ‘Withdraw CAB immediately‘, ‘Jatiya Nayak Hai Hai’.
The protest led by Cotton University Students' Union (CUSU) witnessed the participation of students from various institutions of Guwahati.
Reportedly students threatened the government for dire consequences if the bill is not withdrawn.
It is to be mentioned that the Centre is set to re-introduce the Bill in the ongoing winter session of the Parliament.
