GUWAHATI: Mithun Das, traffic police constable, who stood amid heavy rain in an uncovered podium directing traffic on has been felicitated by Deepak Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati.
A video captured earlier showed Mithun continuously managing traffic during rush hour, which was made all the more difficult as it was accompanied by a heavy thunderstorm.
While most other posts in the city seemed abandoned, the video won people's hearts and everyone lauded him for his commitment.

Mithun, who was lauded from all corners for his professionalism talking to G Plus said, that during peak hours, there is huge traffic jam at Basistha Chariali point and only a flyover here is the solution.
