Chess Grandmaster from Scotland conducts Special Chess Training Seminar at Guwahati

Sports Authority of India along with All India Chess Federation and All Assam Chess Association for the first time in North East India organised a three day FIDE Trainer seminar at SAI Centre, Paltan Bazar, Guwahati starting 15th December which will conclude on 17th December 2017.

Bharat Singh Chauhan (Secretary AICF), Biju Singh (Joint Secretary AICF), Subash Basumatary (Director SAI), Jacob Aagaard (Grand Master Scotland), R.B. Ramesh (Grand Master Chennai), Rajib Dhar (Secretary AACA), Charlin Bhuyan (President AACA) and Biswajit Bharadwaj (Former Secretary AACA) were present at the opening ceremony.

The main motive of this seminar is to promote chess in Northeast and to provide exclusive training for select Chess Players and trainers. The training is being conducted for 40 FIDE Trainers and a Youth Coaching Camp is also being held for 70 U-15 players from NE.
