GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Traffic Police has lifted the ban on pillion-riding imposed in the city.
The city police had imposed a ban on pillion riding to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.

However, in line with the central government's directives for COVID-19 unlock, the district administration has been issuing various relaxations.
"Ref queries regarding pillion riding on 2 wheelers. It is not banned anymore. But please wear helmets, masks and follow all COVID protocols," tweeted Guwahati Traffic Police on September 5.
