GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through a social media post revealed on Tuesday that unidentified individuals made an attempt to hack into his Facebook account.
CM Sarma communicated the incident through 'X' and expressed his concerns over the potential involvement of hackers operating from Pakistan.
He further stated, "Unknown hackers made an attempt to hack my Facebook account this evening. Preliminary information suggests the hacker might be operating from Pakistan. Investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators."
The attempted breach was promptly communicated by the Chief Minister, who assured the public that an investigation had been launched to trace the miscreants responsible for the cyber attack.
