Assam's Riyan Parag Feels He Can be India’s Next Best Finisher

GUWAHATI: Assam's Riyan Parag, a 20-year-old cricketer and Rajasthan Royals’ key men, said that he has the potential of becoming India's next best finisher in the years ahead.

Parag said that although he has a lot to work on, he can be the best finisher not just for Rajasthan Royals but for India in the future.

“I don’t want to praise myself too much, but I think I can be the best finisher not just for Rajasthan Royals but for India in years to come. I have got the skill-set, I’ve got the all-rounder abilities and not just batting, fielding and bowling as well. Yes, I’ve got a lot to work on and I’ve got to be consistent. I’ve got to work a lot on a lot of areas but I firmly believe that I can do it for the Rajasthan Royals team and the country as well,” Parag said on ‘Red Bull’s Greatness Starts Here’.

The Assam player was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the 2019 IPL auction for his base price of Rs 20 lakh. This year, Parag was bought for Rs 3.80 crore.

However, Parag has been facing a lot of heat from the franchise's fans for the comment he made. After failing to impress in the last match against Gujarat Titans (GT), Parag is being heavily criticized by the RR fans.
