GUWAHATI: Assamese film ‘Aamis’ has won two awards at the 3rd Singapore South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF) 2019.
Director Bhaskar Hazarika won the award for ‘Best Director’ and Lima Das won the award for ‘Best Actor: Female.’
The movie is based on the relationship between a married doctor and a younger PhD student. It has been written by Bhaskar Hazarika and stars Arghadeep Baruah, Lima Das, Neetali Das, Manash Das and Sagar Saurav. It has been produced by Poonam Deol and Shyam Bora.
The 3rd Singapore South Asian International Film Festival was held from August 30 to September 7, 2019.
