GUWAHATI: Assam sprinter Hima Das has qualified for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, although the formal announcement is yet to be made.
The 20-year-old will be representing India in the upcoming Olympics, scheduled to be held from 23rd July to 8th August in Tokyo, Japan.
Earlier, speculations had been rife that the star sprinter might not run 400 meters in future due to a back injury despite holding the 400 meters junior world champion title as well as the current Indian national record in the category with a timing of 50.79 s that she clocked at the 2018 Asian Games in Jarkarta, Indonesia.
