GUWAHATI: A body of a woman was discovered on the road side in the Dhapalia area of Guwahati on April 6. The deceased has been identified as Dipali Poddar, who is a resident of that area.

According to preliminary assessment, the woman was allegedly hacked by her husband, who disposed off her body later.

The accused has been identified to be Lakhan Biswas who is the second husband of Dipali.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Fatasil Ambari police station said, "The body was spotted by a patrolling party at around 3 AM. The accused is at present in police custody and further legal proceedings will be carried on."
