GUWAHATI: The Nagaon and Lakhimpur district administrations in Assam have modified teaching schedules to ensure the safety and comfort of students and educators amid rising temperatures.

Starting May 23 in Nagaon, classes will begin at 8:00 AM. Lower primary schools will run from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, M.E. schools from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and high schools and higher secondary classes until 1:30 PM. This directive also applies to all private educational institutes.
In Lakhimpur, classes will start at 7:30 AM. Lower primary schools will operate from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM, middle schools from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and high schools and higher secondary classes from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Both districts have enforced these changes to adapt to the summer conditions. Both the order copies have been attached below.
