Under this scheme, 10 lakh female students from higher secondary to post-graduation levels in government and government-aided colleges will receive monthly financial assistance. This scheme aims to encourage students to pursue their higher education and will complement the existing ‘Free Admission’ scheme.

Girl students enrolled in Class Eleven (Higher Education) will receive ₹1,000 per month for up to ten months, totaling ₹10,000 per year. Graduation First Year (B.A/B.Sc/B.Com) will receive ₹1,250 per month for up to ten months, totaling ₹12,500 per year.

Post-Graduation First Year (M.A/M.Sc/M.Com/B.Ed) will receive ₹2,500 per month for up to ten months, totaling ₹25,000 per year.

Eligibility is open to all female students domiciled in Assam. However married girls (except for those in P.G and B.Ed), daughters of Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and those receiving scooters under the Banikanta Kakati Award (Pragyan Bharati Scheme) are not eligible unless they opt out of the scooter award.
The scheme will not provide assistance during June and July (i.e. summer vacation) each year, or any vacation lasting more than one month.

For the 2024-25 academic session, the benefits are limited to nine months.
