GUWAHATI: A photo has taken the internet by storm as an Assam Police personnel was earlier photographed with a placard that read "NDFB Long Live." The police personnel was seen donning an Arnai which is a traditional piece of Bodo clothing.
The National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) is a rebel/militant outfit that has been involved in several violent attacks in Assam. It wants to obtain a sovereign Bodoland for the Bodo people.
While there is no official notice as of yet, it is likely that the official will be suspended from the Assam Police.
