Assam CM Warns Of Strict Action Against Pro-Pakistan Posts

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday, April 24 issued a strong warning against any attempt direct or indirect to defend Pakistan on Indian soil, particularly in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.

Addressing media on Thursday Sarma said, "Anyone defending Pakistan on social media or elsewhere will face the strictest action. I have directed the Assam Police to monitor platforms closely. We will hunt down each and everybody who defends Pakistan in their social media platforms."

Assam Govt Extends ₹5 Lakh Aid To Families In Pahalgam Terror Attack 

The Assam government has announced financial assistance of ₹5 lakh to the families who lost their lives in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. 

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, addressing the media in Guwahati on Thursday said, “We stand with them in this hour of sorrow. The State of Assam will provide ₹5 lakh as a small gesture of respect and gratitude for their sacrifice."
