GUWAHATI: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro has tabled a ₹843 crore SOPD allocation within the overall ₹4,119.12 crore budget outlay for the financial year 2025–26. The budget was presented in a session of the BTC on Wednesday, April 23.

Among the key initiatives highlighted in the budget are the Bodoland Happiness Mission, the Bodoland Women Empowerment Mission, and Mission Bwiswmuthi 2.0. These will be implemented across several sectors including education, agriculture, health, infrastructure, sericulture, and youth empowerment.
A large portion of the allocations was directed towards the Transformation and Development department, which received ₹12,627 lakh, followed by the Education department with ₹10,505 lakh. Other departments receiving major allocations include Welfare of Plain Tribes and Backward Classes (₹9,863 lakh), Public Works Department (₹9,369 lakh), and Health and Family Welfare (₹4,774 lakh).
In his remarks, Boro described the budget as more than a financial plan. He stated that it represented a collective resolve for healing, empowerment, and growth in the region, in alignment with the broader national goals.
The budget will cater to a total of 40 departments under the BTC administration for the upcoming fiscal year.
