One Jahed Ali Ahmed has been arrested by the Palasbari police of Assam over links to stealing cars. Ali used to change the registration plates of the stolen cars. This was informed to G Plus by Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Plasbari Police Station (PS), Satyendra Singh Hazari. The police are further investigating the matter.
In the nexus, three others have been arrested in the same case. Ali originally hailed from Boko.
An important revelation in the matter has been the ID cards confiscated from Ali. Ali has been found to be in possession of the ID cards of a journalist from a web portal named Reporter Axom.
G Plus spoke to the CEO of Reporter Axom, Balin Deka, who refuted claims of Ali being an employee. "He was never our employee and have plagiarised our ID card from some contact at Hajo. The ID card used was an old one and we are individually trying to pursue the matter," Deka told G Plus.
Items recovered - 5 motorcyle, 1 scooty, one HP laptop, one printer, 5 bike number plate, three mobile phones and duplicate R/Cs.
