GUWAHATI: Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while announcing the Assam Budget 2019 said that thrust of the budget will be the middle class and the lower middle-class people.
The minister announced that under Deen Dayal Divyang Sahayjya Asoni scheme a university for the divyangjans (persons with disabilities) in Boko of Kamrup district will be setup.
It is also to be mentioned that financial assistance of Rs. 50000 to people and students who have taken out education loans previously and or will choose to take it in the years to come.
