GUWAHATI: In a move aimed at promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities, the Assam government has announced plans to provide a 5% weightage in total marks to candidates hailing from families without any members employed in the government or public sector.
This initiative is set to be implemented in the recruitment process for all Grade-III and Grade-IV posts.
To formalise this measure, authorities have outlined plans to introduce new legislation within the current year.
