Ankushita Boro, the young boxing sensation from Assam, has been officially appointed as the Brand Ambassador of 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' scheme for the district of Kamrup (M).
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has officially handed over the certificate to Ankushita at a function held in the city on 8th March.
The young boxer of Assam rose to fame after she bagged a gold medal in the World Youth Women's Boxing Championship 2017.

The ceremony was jointly organized by the State government’s Department of Social Welfare and the Assam State Social Welfare Board, where CM Sonowal was present as the Chief Guest.
