GUWAHATI: In two consecutive operations, the police arrested a bike lifter and apprehended a drug peddler.
The first operation took place in Barpeta, where Baksa Police tracked down a habitual bike lifter. Upon searching the premises associated with the alleged crime, a stolen motorcycle was recovered.
Efforts are on to return the two-wheeler to the rightful owner.
In a separate operation in the Gobardhana area, Baksa Police additionally arrested a drug peddler, who was found in possession of 3.41 grams of heroin.
Legal proceedings against the alleged have been initiated.
Baksa Police took X to put out, “In back-to-back operations against criminals, a habitual bike lifter was arrested, and a stolen bike was recovered from Barpeta. While a drug peddler was arrested with 3.41gm heroin in Gobardhana area.”
