Admin issues guidelines for celebration for Shivratri Celebrations

In pursuance of forth-coming Shivratri  to celebrate  the occasion peacefully and in a disciplined manner DC, Kamrup(M)  M. Angamuthu held a meeting with senior officials of District administration and Temple committee officials of Umananda, Basistha, Sukreswar, Lankeswar Shiv Mandir.  With the emphasis on proper maintenance, cleanliness and hygiene, he has asked for adequate police security in all temples i.e. Umananda, Ugratara, Basistha, Jyotir Lingam temple of Pamohi and Lankeswar. The SDRF, NDRF, Fire and Emergency services will work in coordination with NCC, Scounts and Guides and Civil Defense volunteers and GMC and Public Health deptt. will provide water and adequate power supply with back up for the celebrations. Proper medical team will serve people at Umananda temple, Sukreswar during Shivratri. For adequate security, Dist. Administration will provide CCTV Camera at Sukreswar and Umananda Temple.   It was unanimously decided that no devotee will remain in the Umananda Temple after sunset. There will be two layers of barricading for people so that people cannot enter from the riverside. The Administration will also illuminate the riverside of the temple during Shivaratri. The DC also ordered all concerned authorities to arrange a cleanliness drive in the temples under the supervision of GMC on 25th Feb.  Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
