GUWAHATI: A 23-year-old victim was rescued by Guwahati Police on Sunday evening, January 26, following a report of abduction by his father.

Police from the Panikhaiti Outpost of Pragjyotishpur Police Station launched a coordinated rescue operation after receiving the abduction report.
Through technical analysis and search operations, the police were able to foil the abduction attempt and safely recover the victim.
Two suspects, Mominul Haque (30) of Abhayapuri and Nurul Amin (40) of Mererchar, were arrested at a petrol pump near Forest Gate in Noonmati.
Legal action has been initiated against the suspects, and further investigations are ongoing
