GUWAHATI: Popular singer, Zubeen Garg has partnered with the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) to protest against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
Zubeen met with AASU chief advisor, Samujjal Bhattacharya and AASU general secretary, Lurin Jyoti Gogoi at the Swahid Nyas in Guwahati.

Zubeen was quoted as saying at the event that the people of Assam are not cows and goats and the protest against the Bill will continue. They are planning to organise a protest programme in Latasil on January 23 and tomorrow, a protest is being held in Tezpur.
