GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF), Assam carried out a raid today at ISBT, Gorchuk, which led to the seizure of fake gold along with the apprehension of the individual involved.
The raid was conducted by the STF, Assam under the jurisdiction of Gorchuk Police Station this afternoon.
It led to the seizure of one suspected fake gold piece in a boat shape, weighing 1.489 kg, along with two mobile phones.
Additionally, cash amounting to ₹700 was also seized.

The apprehended individual has been identified as Md. Jakir Hussain Ali, aged 31, hailing from Lakhimpur, Assam.
Necessary formalities are currently underway in connection with the apprehension and recovery. Further details are awaited.
