GUWAHATI: A young Assamese singer Tushar Tirtha Barman passed away on December 31 in a major accident in Bongaigaon, Assam.

The accident happened late at night on New Year’s Eve in Abhayapuri town, Bongaiagaon.
Barman was reportedly on his way home when his two-wheeler crashed into the divider and he lost his life.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Abhayapuri police station said, “We suspect he was inebriated and due to the heavy fog, he crashed into the divider and lost his life. He was taken to a nearby hospital immediately but was already dead upon arrival.”
