Xiaomi India Donates Rs. 15 Lakh To Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund

GUWAHATI: The Assam flood situation, which is slowly limping back to normal has seen a number of people including celebrities, both regional and national, come forward to help those affected by the floods. 

Most recently, Xiaomi India donated Rs.15 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s relief fund and the cheque was handed over to the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal on August 6.

The cheque was handed over by Regional Manager East Xiaomi India Amitabh Biswas and Guwahati Distribution Head and director of Kamal Futuristic Technologies Pankaj Surana.

It is to be mentioned that a population of 42,921 in eight of the 33 districts are currently affected by the floods, though the water levels of Brahmaputra river and its tributaries are showing a receding trend, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said in its bulletin.
