Simultaneously, Modi is slated to address a mega rally in Nalbari district on the same day. The overlapping campaign schedules have intensified the political fervor in the region, with both parties vying for voter attention and support.

Bhupen Borah, the President of APCC, seized the opportunity to call on Modi to address the unfulfilled promises made during previous election campaigns. Borah specifically highlighted issues such as the deportation of illegal migrants, the implementation of the Assam Accord, and granting of Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to six communities in the state, emphasising the need for clarity and action on these crucial matters.

Speaking to GPlus, a member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said, "As of now Modiji's visit to Assam is confirmed. Further details of the schedule is being chalked out."

The political landscape in Assam is heating up as the election date draws near, with both national and regional players making strategic moves to sway public opinion and secure electoral victories.
