GUWAHATI: Avinash Purushottam Das Joshi has been placed at the disposal of the Government of India to serve as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

This comes following a notification from the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, dated March 13.
Avinash Purushottam Das Joshi, IAS (RR-1994), is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Home & Political Department and as Additional Principal Resident Commissioner at Assam Bhawan, New Delhi.
His appointment is effective from the date of assuming charge in his new role.
Effective May 9, 2024, Avinash Purushottam Das Joshi, IAS, is officially released from his duties within the State Government of Assam.
