GUWAHATI: Three youths died by drowning in the Beki River near Manas National Park on Thursday, May 2.

The boys hailing from Barpeta Road came to visit the area and then drowned after going into the river for a swim.

Talking to GPlus, a police official from the Bashbari Outpost said, “The boys were Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar who had all come to visit here. They entered the river for a swim even though none of them knew how to swim. Unfortunately, they all drowned and were killed.”
The bodies have been recovered and are being sent for post-mortem. Further investigations are underway.
