GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident, a woman has been beaten to death in Tinsukia’s Rongpuria district by a group of moral police on June 7.
According to reports, a woman, Radha Tanti, had been missing along with her two-months old child and the body of her was later discovered in the septic tank of her in-laws’ residence.
According to police official, the angry mob attacked Radha’s husband Ajoy after they recovered her body from the septic tank.

Police also said that Ajoy’s mother was involved in the incident for which the mob attacked Jamuna (Mother-in-law) injuring them seriously.
Although both of them were rushed to Tinsukia Civil Hospital, Jamuna was declared dead on arrival. Currently, Ajoy is undergoing treatment.
The official also stated that those who are involved in the mob attacked will not be spared and that no one can take the law into their hands.
