GUWAHATI: Three leopards were spotted in Kumarpara Panchali, near Bharalumukh, on Wednesday, December 27.

As per reports one adult and two baby leopards have been spotted.
The video footage of one of the leopards has been recorded and is circulating among the media and the public. The residents and locals can also be seen crowding the area and creating a frantic situation.
Talking to GPlus, a senior forest official said, “We were informed around 2:30 p.m. Our officials are on the ground, trying to rescue the animals.”
Earlier on December 25, in a similar incident, a leopard attacked a man in the morning on the under-construction bridge connecting Guwahati and North Guwahati.
The incident occurred around 8:05 AM when the animal taking shelter on one of the bridge’s poles, pounced on the victim working on the bridge. The man, identified as Uday Ghosh, a native of West Bengal, sustained injuries in the attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital before being shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for further treatment, where he was reported stable.
