GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Jal Board has announced an interruption in water supply today, December 27 in several areas of the city under the Leechubagan Reservoir. The disruption is due to ongoing leakage rectification work on the feeder main pipeline.

The affected areas include Manik Nagar, Sundarpur Path, Swaraj Nagar, Nayanpur, Bormotoria, Hengrabari, Japorigog, Downtown, Duwarika Nagar, and Chachal. Residents in these locations may experience low water pressure or a complete lack of supply until the repairs are completed.
The Jal Board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and has requested the cooperation and understanding of consumers during this time. While no specific timeline for the restoration of services has been provided, officials assure that the work is being carried out on a priority basis.
