WATCH | How Funds For Guwahati's Drainage System Got Diverted To Hyderabad's Development?

 

GUWAHATI: Padma Shri awardee Ajoy Dutta, in his podcast with GPlus, shared how the World Bank had provided Assam ₹78.7 crore in 1974 to fix Guwahati’s flood issues by building an underground drainage system.

An additional ₹6 crore was provisioned to conduct a preliminary contour survey as well, but due to alleged political complications, the proposed project never materialised.
