Virat Kohli bags 'International Cricketer and Batsman of the Year' award

GUWAHATI: Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has bagged the 'International Cricketer and Batsman of the Year' award during the CEAT Cricket Rating (CCR) International awards 2019. 

The award ceremony was held on May 13 in Mumbai where former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar, former Australian batsman Dean Jones, former Indian wicket-keeper Saba Karim, and others were present.

Veteran cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, who played for the Indian cricket team in the 1983 World Cup, was conferred with the 'CCR International Lifetime Achievement Award'.

Another Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was also adjudged as the 'International Bowler of the Year'. 

It should be mentioned that Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan was awarded for his outstanding bowling performance and Australian batsman Aaron Finch for his exceptional performance in T20.
