GUWAHATI: The inaugural programme of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) kicked off in urban locations of Assam namely Kamrup Metro, Dhubri, and Kokrajhar districts on November 28.
The launch programme was held at Panbazar and Chandmari in Kamrup Metro where they organised a series of community engagement events under the banner of Jan Bhagidari, including "Meri Kahani Meri Zubani" sessions and interactions with the beneficiaries.
The inaugural day witnessed a range of community-centric initiatives aimed at fostering well-being among the masses.
Among the key initiatives were on-the-spot connections to the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme, free health check-ups, Aadhaar card registrations, and sign-ups for the PM SVANidhi scheme. These efforts were strategically conducted at the venues, ensuring easier access for those in need.
The VBSY Urban inauguration ceremony at Panbazar, Guwahati, was graced by Mrigen Sarania, the Mayor of Guwahati, as the Chief Guest.
The primary objective of the Yatra is to raise awareness about various schemes and policies of the government.
