GUWAHATI: Five individuals, including four workers and a scrapyard owner, have been arrested by Chandmari Police on Sunday, April 27, for the theft of 75 kg of rods from a PWD drain construction site. The stolen rods have been recovered.

The workers arrested are Sanidul Islam from Barpeta, Nizam Ali from Dhula, Udhab Ali from Goalpara, and Manowar Hussain from Goalpara. The scrapyard owner, who purchased the stolen rods, was also apprehended.
Police have initiated legal action against all the accused.
