GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) undertook an eviction drive to clear out the vendors and sellers on the footpath near Ulubari Nursery on Saturday.
As per official statements, the authorities revealed that a notice was provided to the vegetable and fish vendors to clear out the footpath which was being used as their business settlement.
An eviction drive was undertaken on Saturday morning to demolish and evict the vendors.
Additionally, as per reports, a scrapyard in the same vicinity which was used as a waste deposit ground in the city, has also been demolished by the GMC.
